THE ORIGIN
It started with a simple observation: Why does "capable" have to mean "uncomfortable"?
Trekano was founded on the Central Coast of NSW, born from a singular frustration. We loved the places our vehicles could take us, from the snow lines of Kosciuszko National Park to the remote coasts of Western Australia, but we hated the compromise required to get there.
The industry standard was split. On one side, you had the traditional motorhome: a rolling hotel room that offered immense comfort but was heavy, low-slung, and ultimately tethered to the tarmac. It offered luxury, but only where the bitumen went. On the other side was the hardcore 4x4: capable of conquering mountains, but often accepting increased road noise, harsh handling, and an aesthetic that looked bolted on rather than designed in.
We refused to accept that comfort requires staying on the beaten track. Our mission was to liberate the luxury traveller. We build vehicles that provide the amenities and finish you expect from a premium motorhome, packaged on a platform that can actually handle the corrugations, sand, and washouts of remote Australia.
So, we stopped buying parts that didn't meet our standards, and we started designing our own.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Silent Engineering.
Our design ethos is defined by what you don't notice. The absence of wind noise. The elimination of body roll.
We call this "OEM Plus."
Our philosophy is that a modification should never feel like an addition; it should feel like an evolution. Every bracket, suspension tune, and rack system we produce is engineered to merge with the vehicle’s DNA. We reject unnecessary bulk in favour of utility, enhancing capability while preserving the sophisticated refinement of a factory-built tourer.
WHAT WE DO

Trekano operates as a specialized Product Design House with a dedicated internal workshop. We focus our fabrication resources on creating the "System" that allows you to achieve our standard of build on your own terms.

The Components: We manufacture and supply high-end hardware (Suspension, Protection, Storage) directly to you and to select professional upfitters.

The Concept: We treat our vehicles like architectural concepts. We do the heavy lifting in R&D - figuring out exactly which wheel offset sits flush or which spring rate eliminates sway so you can simply purchase the solution.

Our Builds: We maintain a rotating fleet of internal marketing vehicles. These "Hero Builds" allow us to showcase our vision in its purest form.
THE STANDARD

Before a product is released to the public, it must earn its place in the Trekano line-up.
Our testing ground is not a computer simulation; it is the Australian landscape. From winter shakedowns in the Snowy Mountains to Summer beach driving, we subject our products to real-world touring to identify and solve real-world issues.
This process ensures that when you bolt a Trekano component to your vehicle, it has already been validated to perform in the conditions you are heading towards.
